Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I've sent anything out. Sorry for the long absence. I
hope everyone is having a great summer!!
Let me start by welcoming our new members from AirTran!! I do hope you all will
enjoy becoming part of the Southwest Airlines Ski and Snowboard club. Please
feel free to make yourselves at home with us. I'm sure we all are going to have
lots of fun in the many years to follow!
Some important business to relay to you is the information that is now
available on our website, www.swaskiclub.com pertaining to ski club jackets and
pants from Spyder. I've dropped the ball on this and I'm truly sorry. Don't
blame Dan. I'm sure that he has a few choice words for me.
You'll need to make your selections by the end of the month. Peter has set up a
paypal link and a shopping cart on the page. He's the best webmaster ever!!
Check it out. Any questions you have I'll try to find an answer asap.

Other news relates to our "No-Brainer". We had announced at the No-Brainer in
Lake Tahoe that we were going to combine next seasons NB with the NAASF ski week
at Northstar. A few things are wrong about that. First, that was when we thought
that the Northstar ski week was in February, it's actually the first NAASF ski
week in January. Second, our vice president Justyn pointed out to me that a
combined NAASF and No-Brainer ski week isn't fun. She has a point and I agree.
Besides, we're cheating ourselves out of another fun-filled ski week.
So, having said all of that, here's our plan...
We're going to plan our 2012 No-Brainer to be held in Durango, Colorado!!!
Dates are expected to be February 21 through 23. It's after a big holiday
weekend. So rates will most likely be cheaper.
It's a very busy schedule next season. The IASF ski week in Japan
will be unforgettable. I'm sure that Justyn will have great discounts available
for lodging and travel, as she has done in the past with our No-Brainers in
Taos.
I'll pass on more information when it becomes available. Thanks for continuing
to be a part of, and supporting our Ski Club.
Now, someone get me a cold margarita, my sunglasses and suntan oil!!! Let's
enjoy the summer!!!
